BREATHE on Test Day

Hello!

Many of you are beginning to take the state assessment this week. Others will take it soon! Since the test dates are different for everyone, depending on where you live, I thought I should share this with everyone now.

Be sure to check out the training tests before your testing day. This will help you become familiar with the test and tools you will use on the computer: http://wa.portal.airast.org/training-tests/

On the day of your test:

  • Be on time!
  • Bring a photo ID (adult's drivers license, student ID, etc.).
  • Use R.A.C.E. when answering questions completely.
  • Bring headphones, if you have them (you can also use noise-cancellation headphones!).
  • Don't forget to BREATHE...

Happy Testing!

Testing... 1... 2... 3...

Hello and welcome back from break! It's time to put our thinking caps because state testing starts for many of you this week!

OOPS! Sorry if you are singing "Let it gooooooooooooo..." for the next 12 hours.

Seriously.

Students, when taking the ELA test remember what we learned about answering all parts of the question. If it is a written response, you should use the RACE method when answering. Cite evidence to "prove" your answer is correct.

ELA Review - Check out these blog posts to refresh your memory on what we covered this year.

Math Review - Look through your math notebook to review what we've learned in 5th grade math this year!

A few reminders...

You will do a great job, I know it! I am already proud of you.

XOX,
