Figurative language can be found in literature and poetry. Writers use figurative language to make their
work more interesting or more dramatic than literal language which simply
states facts.
So far, this year we have learned about 5 types of figurative language:
metaphor
simile
onomatopoeia
alliteration
and today...
PERSONIFICATION!
Here's an example of personification in The One and Only Ivan:

All illustrations should pop off the page. Sometimes it helps a project look "finished" when you usea fine tip black marker to outline the illustrations. Then, color in the whole image... background too!
