Norman Rockwell is one of my favorite artists. Every painting tells a story. I especially like the way he captures childhood memories. I'm sure all of you can relate to his paintings. I know I do.
For this week's response, look at the painting and answer the questions below. For a better view, you can click on the painting and enlarge it.
1) What is happening in this painting by Norman Rockwell?
2) What season is represented in the image? How do you know?
3) What should the title of this painting be?
I will publish all comments on Thursday, so you can see what others have written (without spoiling your own creativity). Please respond before Friday, October 22nd!

In the painting, a man and a boy are raking leaves. the man is smoking a pipe, and the boy is holding a lighted match. I don't exactly know what is happening, but I think it has to do with the pipe and the match. The season represented in the painting is Autumn. I can tell by all the goldish-brown leaves that fell on the ground. I thought and thought of a good title but since I don't really know what the painting is of I can't post a good one right now. If I think of a good title I'll post it later, but for right now the only titles I can think of is Autumn or Hunting or something like that.
I would like to name the picture "Fall". I like fall because I like to collect leaves. They are different colors like the woods. I've seen other pictures of Norman Rockwell and I like them.
They are raking up leaves. Fall because the leaves are all falling and they are wearing coats. A day with my grandpa.
